'Stunning debut' with bold pops of colour and elegant features.

Tom and Sarah-Jane went into their first week on The Block on a high after winning the House Decider challenge.

They were even more motivated to create a beautiful space after finding out the winner of Bathroom Week will receive a $250,000 kitchen upgrade, which would be a huge advantage at both the Kitchen Week Reveal and the auction.

But time was against them as they pushed to complete the room in a week, as well as make time to have a birthday celebration with their one-year-old daughter Cleo.

Tom and Sarah-Jane pulled through to complete the room by tools down, but will they impress the judges for the second time in a row?

Scroll through to see what judges Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer thought of their main bathroom.

Tom predicted Neale would walk into his and Sarah-Jane's bathroom and go 'Wow, I feel at home', and he was almost right.

"Wow," Neale said when he entered the space.

"Ooh," Shaynna added.

"This is quite a debut," Neale said of Tom and Sarah-Jane's first official Room Reveal.

"This is quite a stunning 'Welcome to The Block' from Tom and Sarah-Jane. Week one and we throw a bathroom at them?"

Neale thought it was impressive the couple could deliver a room like this in less than a week.

Darren's eyes were drawn upwards to the beautiful ceiling rose and chandelier. He also thought the height of the ceiling was striking, and the cornices had beautiful detailing.

"That light has been restored from the original house," Darren noticed.

Shaynna was pleasantly surprised by that fact, as was Neale.

"We found it and I scrubbed for two hours," Sarah-Jane said back at Block HQ.

Shaynna loved how comfortable Tom and Sarah-Jane were with using colour, which was showcased in the VJ panelling on the bottom half of the walls.

"Tom and Sarah-Jane showed us last week who they are, like they had that bold green room last week," Shaynna said.

"Now they've gone a different sort of bluey-green with bold statements and bold colour, which I'm excited about because in this environment I want to see bold colour because there's a lot to work with, there's a lot of natural light and it can take it."

Tom and Sarah-Jane's decision to increase the size of the bathroom didn't go unnoticed.

"It's more spacious, and it's servicing two bedrooms. And I love the fact they've got a really big shower and they've put the towels right at the end – a lot of people are afraid thinking it'll get wet," Shaynna said.

The judges were also thrilled to see that the team had placed a towel rack inside their main shower area.

They noted that many people were afraid to do so fearing the towels would get wet, but that it was actually a good design decision.

Shaynna was thrilled to see towels hung in the shower – at the opposite end to the shower head of course – because it means the resident can get mostly dry in the wet area before stepping onto a bath mat.

"Not everyone thinks about the functionality, and so I think they've really thought that through," Shaynna added.

The vanity, basins and mirrors chosen by Tom and Sarah-Jane were described as "sensational".

Though sleek, sophisticated and stylish, the judges worried the vanity didn't have enough storage to service a family bathroom.

"You tell me as a teenage girl would you have been able to contain your life in there?" Darren asked Shaynna while opening one of the drawers.

"Absolutely not," Shaynna answered.

Darren admitted even he couldn't fit his "cosmetics" in the drawer.

They might not be able to store anything, but those mirrors sure are glamorous. They are complemented beautifully by a divine wall sconce to light your face as you get ready for the day.

The brushed gold tapware and oval basin against the blue wall panels looked effortlessly elegant.

The judges were "blown away" by how well everything in the bathroom worked together.

"You travel from these tiles, to the metal they've chosen for the tapware," Neale said, clearly in awe of the feel of the room.

"This bathroom feels like a contemporary bathroom, but a bathroom that is completely appropriate for this country location, completely appropriate for the era of the house," Neale said.

Looks like Tom and Sarah-Jane have nailed country style with their bathroom.

Fresh, native flowers and foliage in a vase is one of life's simple pleasures and added a pop of nature in the bathroom.

The bouquet is styled in a picturesque vignette with a hand towel, bath bomb and candle.

You might not think to put art in a bathroom but Neale would, and so have Tom and Sarah-Jane.

"I really applaud them too for putting art in a bathroom – I love art in a bathroom," he said.

The shower had another nod to country Victoria with the choice of soap and a bristle bath brush with wooden base.

It wasn't all positive though, with one misstep glaringly obvious.

"They've got really high windows, they've got really high tiling, but they've got a very generic height shower screen," Shaynna noted.

"Naturally the shower screen goes towards the tile line... especially because you look at how high that shower head is, it's almost like a giraffe looking over your shower screen."

Block fans will recall Tom and Sarah-Jane wanted a higher shower screen, but had to resort to a shorter one when the height they wanted wasn't available in time.

The bathroom was so good, the judges left the space excited to see what Tom and Sarah-Jane do with their next room in the house.
