T he fourth phase at Tandy Lane in Lucan has been released on to the market. Built by Quintain Ireland, the houses aren’t the only focus at the development, but also all of the surrounding land.

A large linear park is located within the scheme with the old trees and hedgerows retained, and new pathways meandering through for walkers and cyclists.

This isn’t the only green space on offer. Just beside the development is Tandy’s Lane Park, which is a 19-acre facility that has been designed to keep all age groups happy. It has one sports pitch, two playgrounds and a ‘teenspace’ with parkour equipment, as well as a multi-use games area.

Residents will also benefit from their proximity to The Crossings, which is a €500m retail space that has been developed by Quintain and is due to open early next year with anchor tenants Tesco and Aldi.

Back at Tandy’s Lane, the latest phase includes three-bed family homes in a variety of styles with prices starting at €460,000.

The houses have been designed by Conroy Crowe Kelly Architects and come with an A-rating. The exterior of the houses is a maintenance-free mix of brick and render, with stone detail around the front doors. The windows, doors, gutters and downpipes are finished in a grey colour to complement the façade.

The homes have high levels of insulation and airtightness and will be heated by air-to-water heat pumps. There is a good choice of primary and secondary schools in the area like Scoil Mhuire National School, Scoil Áine Naofa and Lucan Community College. For sports enthusiasts, there is a strong community around clubs like Sarsfields GAA, Lucan United Soccer and Weston Hockey club. The Hermitage and Lucan golf clubs are also close to the development.

Tandy’s Lane is a 15-minute walk to Adamstown train station and is close to the N4, with a drive into the city taking 25 minutes.

Construction is underway at the site so buyers of this phase could be looking to move in by spring of next year.
