An absurdist comedy about a couple that spends a week at a new-age retreat in a last ditch attempt to save their marriage, this one of a kind Kiwi comedy is spoken entirely in an improvised, gibberish-esque language. Arrive fully clothed to the cinema and strip down for a fully naked screening of the film. You must bring a towel to lay over your seat and clothing is required if you need to dip out to go to the candy bar or the bathroom – so maybe bring along a dressing gown for a quick change.

With the nude session giving audiences an opportunity to engage in the boundary pushing nature of the film, Nude Tuesday is a journey into miscommunication, full frontal nudity and self-discovery. With subtitles created by British comedian Julia Davis after production, it stars Jackie van Beek, Damon Herriman, Ian Zaro, Chelsie Preston Crayford. The film features Flight of the Conchords and What We Do in the Shadows star Jermaine Clement as the smooth, gibberish-spouting sex guru Bjorg at his “disco of sensations”.

Their third nude screening, Lido Cinemas are thinking of making their nude sessions a regular event. Of course, it’s restricted to patrons aged 18 and over and there’s a strict no photo policy.
