A few details leave Darren Palmer unimpressed.

After coming in a very close second place for their guest bedroom, Dylan and Jenny were hoping to nab the top spot with their country-chic master ensuite.

The tradie couple opted for a huge double walk-in shower, a standalone bath and his and hers basins, while adding a smattering of personal touches to really make the room feel like home.

Scroll through to see what judges Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer had to say about Dylan and Jenny's master ensuite.

As soon as they walked in, the judges couldn't get over just how large the room was.

"It has a real sense of luxury in here," Darren said as he cast his eyes over the vast space.

Shaynna, meanwhile, was obsessed with the mammoth double walk-in shower that lay at the end of the room.

"Shaynna, before you were saying about the shower not being big enough..." Darren smiled.

"That's a party!" she replied. "That is a party."

The space featured two large, gold showerheads which matched the rest of the fixtures, as well as a seated area to exhume a spa-like feel.

Darren added: "Clearly that shower set-up is really well-considered in terms of how they've placed the tiles, the tapware... the whole story that's telling luxury is quite astounding."

Dylan and Jenny have shown their love for small details in recent weeks, and placed a wooden board with a flannel, shaving brush and rose petals to add a warm and fuzzy feel to the space.

Like they did in their main bathroom, their showerhead was coloured in a stunning shade of gold to add a contemporary glow to the area.

Neale said the room had an an understated elegance to it, and said that the peach wallpaper was "just lovely".

"Just simple, simple styling but it tells a story and has a little sense of luxury. It kind of makes it feel homey, and warm," he said.

Darren added: "If you look around, we have four walls. But four walls which are treated with a lot of thought."

Shaynna was particularly excited about the gold wall sconces on the vanity.

"Yes, we have sconces in the right spot!" she said.

"Even though there's only one overhead light in the centre, it's still got no shadows and that is why sconces are so perfect for bathrooms.

"When they're done right, they're done right."

Host Scott Cam told Dylan and Jenny that the judges were particularly happy with the "great styling" of the room, and were quick to point out this vibrant chrysanthemum flower which sat next to the sink.

The Blockheads had also placed a little magnifying mirror on the sink, as well as a reed diffuser with petals which matched those in the spa area. Details, details, details!

They even matched their hand lotions to their décor, opting for the al.ive body Green Pepper & Lotus Hand & Body Wash and Lotion Duo on their vanity. Luxurious!

Behind the vanity mirrors lay an abundance of storage space, something which was praised heavily by the judges.

"Storage, storage, storage and bench space, bench space, bench space," Darren gushed.

"We have lots of places to spread out, lots of spaces to put things away," Darren continued.

"And you've got drawers and cupboards, so that is about as good as ensuite storage can get."

The judges added that the arch doors had become a "signature" for Dylan and Jenny over the past few weeks.

The same arch was used in their guest bedroom and main bathoom, and matched perfectly with the mirrors they placed on the vanity.

But one thing that Shaynna wasn't too fond of was the placement of the bath, which sat up against the wall.

"I don't know why everyone thinks a bath has to be whacked up against a wall," she said.

"We've got all this space, and they really could have actually orientated the bath so it came into the room more. It would have felt more luxurious."

Dylan and Jenny had tried to add a sense of luxury to their bath, opting for a wooden caddy filled with rose petals, a candle and a glass of rosé wine.

Shaynna brought up how spacious the shower was in her argument against the bath placement.

"We've got this day spa, a beautiful feel with the double showers which I feel is absolutely gorgeous... but I feel like the bath feels like it's shoved up against the wall and whacked next to the toilet," she added.

In their defence, Darren said: "Planning bathrooms is hard. and planning a bathroom in a day is even harder.

"But, what do these two people in this house do? They're both carpenters. They have a better idea of spatial planning," Shaynna responded.

Darren was soon to point out that he was less than impressed with some other details in the room.

"There is a lack of grouting over here," he said, pointing at the windows.

"There's even a bit of messy grouting here. It looked like they were grouting until the last minute."

Darren added that he wasn't too happy with the VJ panelling behind the vanity, either.

"Given what you've just said about the fact that they're both chippies... that VJ panelling trim bothers me even more," he added.

Scotty told the couple during judging: "Darren wondered why a couple of chippies would choose to resolve the top of the panelling where it meets the corners with a timber strap, and not simply run it into the corners."

Dylan replied: "One of those sheets was cut a day earlier and wasn't chucked up, and it was a bit of a gap for me to putty up, so..."

Overall, the judges said they thought it was a beautiful room, but said they could tell the pair had run out of time.

"The rooms they have delivered so far have been finished to quite a high level, which makes me think something's happened this week," Neale said.

"I don't think this is Dylan and Jenny at their best."
