Stacey Solomon reveals her DIY bathroom make over

Stacey Solomon revealed the DIY makeover she had been working on in her downstairs toilet, which she has nicknamed the “Blue Loo”.

The Loose Women presenter recently moved into her “dream” family home with fiancé Joe Swash, three sons and two dogs and has been renovating the house and grounds.

The large, Tudor style house has original features as well as plenty of outdoor space, including a swimming pool.

Stacey has been sharing her efforts to upcycle and decorate various parts of the house and garden on Instagram. Her "Blue Loo" project is the latest to be completed.

The star has expressed how much she loved the original sink and toilet in the small bathroom, which feature a blue flower pattern.

The walls of the room have been painted blue to match, while a metallic towel and toilet roll holder set from Dunelm link in the metal piping and taps.

Stacey has saved floor space in the small room by choosing these wall-mounted options, as well as by adding corner shelves in place of a stand-alone unit for extra storage.

The white painted panelling matches accessories such as the vases and windowsill candle to offer a fresh feel to the room and make the space feel brighter.

Stacey admitted that the new toilet room is her “favourite place to hide in” and that she was “so proud" of her efforts.

The presenter did also confess that while the room looked picture perfect, she still had “some filling, corking and re painting & a sink pipe to put back on,” before the renovation could be finally ticked off.

Stacey is known for her DIY decorating tricks and regularly features her tips and projects on her Instagram stories.

She has been sharing her home renovation efforts daily and has even released her own book Tap to Tidy covering all her best ideas.
