While the holiday travel season last year was less than merry and bright (again) after the breakout of the Omicron variant, many people are still holding out for better times—and more travel—in 2022.
More than a third (34%) of travelers have larger travel budgets now compared to 2020, according to Expedia’s Traveler Value Index, in large part because of the worldwide pause in travel spurred by the pandemic. And more than half (54%) of Expedia’s survey respondents said they plan to spend more on trips than they did prior to the pandemic.
If travel is about to make a comeback (again), then it’s time to start packing. Here are some of the newest must-have travel essentials to consider bringing along.
