Don't the school seem to 'drag on' forever? Keep the kids busy with this simple craft project.

Introduce the kids to Maggon the Dragon or even Puff the Magic Dragon, they will likely wonder ‘What’ve you been puffing?'...

While they may not assimilate your musical tastes of yore, we can all agree that dragons are just generally speaking simply awesome.

Getting down to brass tacks, we’re going to get some fire-breathing dragon action happening with a project so simple it’ll come together within minutes. Let’s get started!

Wrap sticker foam around a toilet roll.

Cut out a bundle of blue orange, red and yellow streamers 15 cm in length. Cut the pieces in half vertically. Using double-sided tape stick the streamers to the top three-quarters of the inside edge of a toilet roll end.

Draw and cut out two mirrored firey eyebrows for the dragon.

Glue two small pom poms close together near the streamer end of the toilet roll. This will be the snout of the dragon. Glue two large pom poms a little wider apart near the other end of the toilet roll. Glue googly eyes to the front of the large pompoms. Curve the mirrored brows, then glue them to the back of the pom pom eyes.

With a marker pen draw a mouth and freckles to give the dragon character.

Blow a gust of air into the back end of the dragon. The streamers will move about in a likeness of a fire-breathing dragon.
